“Communication between cultures through the arts is a good thing,” wrote the renowned architect, Frank Gehry. In this “mad world the only thing that is sane are the arts.” Tragically, any such sanity is now under threat by the Trump administration madly intent on slashing the budgets of the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities, two federal agencies vital for the health of our public museums and thus the civic well-being of the nation.
